A touching gesture on a night where those still to play gather all of the limelight.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver continued to endear himself to the game and its fans when he announced the league would draft Isaiah Austin with the rest of his graduating class.
Austin was expected to be taken by one of the teams in the first round with the centre starring at Baylor University before a routine pre-draft medical discovered he has Marfan Syndrome, a genetic disorder that meant he had to stop pursuit of his dream of playing professionally.
This is what sport is all about.
