James has 13 points and nine rebounds as the Cavs lead the Golden State Warriors 44-37 at the half-time interval, and the two-time NBA champion has again led a spirited display from his team.
Coach David Blatt is receiving contributions right across the roster, with James Jones and JR Smith adding seven points apiece off the bench while Tristan Thompson is enjoying a strong game with seven points and seven rebounds.
However, it is James who is again delivering and the Warriors don’t appear to have the answer to slow him down with the four-time MVP easily getting to the basket.
In contrast, the offensive struggles continue for Golden State as they seemingly have no answer for the Cavs’ intensity and effort on defense with Stephen Curry scoring just three points as his slump continues.
Andre Iguodala has 10 points off the bench, but it will be a real worry for coach Steve Kerr as he tries to get his team back in gear and raise their efficiency on the offensive end before they are staring at a 2-1 hole in the Finals.
