During Game 3 of the NBA Finals 2015 against the Golden State Warriors, the Australian got tangled up with Draymond Green early and was sent sprawling to the floor.
As he got back to his feet, Dellavedova was caught pushing into Green’s leg which in turn has sparked outrage from certain sections on social media as he continues to establish a reputation for being a ‘dirty player’.
While the Cavs star can be regarded as reckless given that there was no intention previously, this looked a little more suspicious and will undoubtedly get people and critics alike talking again.
It looks as though he was retaliating and he may well have been aiming higher, but given his recent history it won’t look good for him particularly for those who want to find something in it.
Dellavedova has already caused controversy after clashes with Taj Gibson and two Atlanta Hawks players in the playoffs this year, and this will be another talking point in the coming days although it won’t matter much to him as plays a pivotal role in getting the Cavaliers on top in this series.
