Having made the switch from the Phoenix Suns to the Heat this off-season, the 29-year-old will hope to light up the AA Arena with efforts like the one seen above.
However, while the bench certainly enjoyed his exploits over the weekend, they will hope that it is just one aspect of the game that Green will bring to the team.
With Dwyane Wade signed up to a new deal and Chris Bosh healthy along with Goran Dragic who will lead from the back-court, the Heat will harbour legitimate ambitions of getting into the playoffs and making a splash in the playoffs.
Whether or not they can live up to those expectations remains to be seen, but coach Erik Spoelstra undoubtedly has a strong roster at his disposal to at least make a good fist of it.
