LeBron and Cavs inflict third straight loss on the Hornets…
The Milwaukee Bucks lost Jabari Parker to a sprained knee on Monday night, but that didn’t prevent them from picking up a win against the Phoenix Suns.
Khris Middleton was the unlikely hero with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer but he conceded after the game that he wasn’t confident about the shot as the ball left his hands.
Nevertheless, as it hit the backboard and hung on the rim, it eventually dropped into the net to improve the Bucks to 13-12 for the season while the Suns fall to 12-14.
Markieff Morris led the Suns with 25 points and insisted that it was a “lucky shot” from Middleton, but as far as his team is concerned, he is confident that once they record one win they will go on and string some victories together.
Meanwhile, Parker’s injury was announced as a left knee sprain and coach Jason Kidd said that the rookie will be further examined on Tuesday.
The Cleveland Cavaliers were winners on Monday after they leapt out to a 21-0 lead against the Charlotte Hornets before the visitors staged a mini-comeback.
However, LeBron James scored 27 points with 13 assists while Kevin Love added 22 points and 18 points to move the Cavs to 14-9 for the season, while the Hornets drop to a 6-18 record.
Elsewhere in the Eastern Conference, the Atlanta Hawks claimed a big win over the Chicago Bulls with Al Horford putting up 21 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.
The Hawks have now won 10 of their last 11 games as they proved that they can compete with the best in the league as well as taking care of business against the weaker sides.
Jimmy Butler led Chicago with 22 while Taj Gibson added 15, however Derrick Rose struggled with his shooting and was held to 14 points while Joakim Noah sat out his fourth straight game with an injured right ankle.
