DeAndre Jordan stars again for Clippers…
The Los Angeles Clippers held on for a thrilling win over the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night while the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Dallas Mavericks.
DeAndre Jordan put up 26 points and 18 rebounds in another dominant performance while Jamal Crawford added 26 points as the Clippers increased their lead over their Western Conference rivals to 1 1/2 games.
Point guard Chris Paul also played a key role with 22 points and 16 assists, but the hosts had to hang on at the end and successfully did so even with the absence of Blake Griffin.
Tim Duncan had 30 points and 11 rebounds while Tony Parker added 21 points and 13 assists for the Spurs, but their two-game winning streak came to an end in their first game back since the All-Star break.
In the only other game of the night, the Thunder were led by 34 points and 10 assists from Russell Westbrook as they comfortably defeated the Mavericks.
The explosive point guard seemingly picked up from from where he left off in the All-Star Game as OKC moved into a tie with the Phoenix Suns for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West.
After their activity on trade deadline day, Oklahoma City will now be hopeful that they have the depth required to push on down the stretch of the regular season with their playoff ambitions still in the balance for now until they find some consistency and put together a winning streak.
