Westbrook struggled early in the game with four points before the half-time break, but he made up for his cold shooting start with 10 assists in the first half as Enes Kanter dominated in the front court for OKC.
While Miami Heat ace Hassan Whiteside enjoyed another huge start to the game, Westbrook was called into action as Goran Dragic ran the court on the fast break following a block from his teammate.
However, the Slovenian point guard didn’t get far as Westbrook chased him down and came up with the big time block to deny him at the rim and had a few words after as the home crowd reacted and got behind the team.
The Thunder are still in a tight race for the playoffs as they continue to keep the New Orleans Pelicans at bay for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
