The 27-year-old recovered from a poor shooting display the previous night to score 24 points in the win, and he even had time to prove his strength after he returned to the court despite a hard knockdown from Derrick Favors.
Meanwhile, he also had time to put on a magic show as he somehow got this circus shot to fall for the two points and the foul as the Warriors coasted to the win.
Coach Steve Kerr will likely protect Curry down the stretch with around 12 games in the regular season remaining, and the Warriors should be able to cope without him as they look to improve on their 56-13 record which keeps them seven-and-a-half games above the Memphis Grizzlies in second spot.
Curry is still pushing to secure the MVP award this year and although he is certainly one of the most popular players in the league now, a few more plays like this won’t do his case any harm as he continues to lead Golden State to victories one way or another.
