Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers was left so embarrassed by their defeat against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday that he apologised to a fan sat courtside.
The Clippers had won seven of their last nine games ahead of the trip to Cleveland, but they were completely out-played and out-fought as they lost their discipline and were hit with 5 technical fouls in total.
Matt Barnes was ejected from the game and at one point they trailed the Cavs by 32 points, all of which led Rivers into an embarrassed surrender when speaking to a Clippers fan he saw sitting courtside.
The young Clippers fan was sat near the team’s bench and was forced to watch the team fall apart, and so Rivers thought it was only right that he received a personal apology.
Good on ya Doc…
