William and Kate chat to Jay-Z and Beyonce and meet with LeBron after game…
Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton attended the Brooklyn Nets vs Cleveland Cavaliers game at the Barclays Center on Monday night, and it undoubtedly had an effect on the atmosphere in the arena.
The pair even exchanged pleasantries with Jay-Z and Beyonce ahead of the fourth quarter as the meeting was shown on the big screen during the entire break between quarters and everything seemingly came to a standstill inside the Barclays.

“It felt like The Finals, to be honest,” Nets forward Kevin Garnett said after the Cavaliers won 110-88. “There was a lot of energy in the building, a lot of press, a lot of people in the building and a lot of things going on.”
William and Kate’s arrival to their courtside seats caused quite the stir in the middle of the third quarter as they sat directly across from the Nets bench, although Cleveland star Kevin Love didn’t benefit from the distraction.
“I saw when everyone stepped up and kind of turned and brought out their phones,” said Love, who was shooting free throws when the couple walked to their seats nearby.
“I just tried to make the second shot [free throw], but it ended up being about a foot short.”

Meanwhile, with LeBron James naturally the star attraction and arguably the biggest reason why the royal couple opted for this game in particular, the Cavs star met with them after the game and handed them gifts including cupcakes made in Akron and two Cavaliers jerseys, one with “George” on the back for Prince George and another that had “Cambridge” on the back.
James revealed before the game that he was honoured that to have the couple attend the game, while Cleveland coach David Blatt was delighted to see them take an interest in the sport.
