While the likes of Kyle Korver, Wesley Matthews and defending champion Marco Belinelli fell in the first round, it was Curry, teammate Klay Thompson and former champion Kyrie Irving who made it through to the championship round.
Irving and Thompson struggled to recreate the form from their first attempt, but Curry had no such problems as he racked up 27 points after catching fire particularly with his money-ball rack at the end.
Given the hype ahead of the contest, it was arguably slightly disappointing with Korver in particular struggling to get his shooting going, but the Splash Bros didn’t let the crowd at the Barclays Center down.
The Warriors ace insisted prior to the competition this year that he would continue to enter it until he won it, now the question becomes whether or not he will come back to defend his crown next year…
