The Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks continue to clash in more ways than one in their opening round playoff series in the Eastern Conference, and things got heated again on Saturday.
The first incident took place just minutes into the game with Mike Dunleavy getting tangled up with Giannis Antetokounmpo as they fell to the floor which led to the officials dishing out technical fouls on both sides.
However, that was just the starters as Bulls point guard Aaron Brooks and opposite number Jerryd Bayless then got into it in an off-the-ball scuffle which led to the officials splitting them up as the rest of the teams got involved in a mass altercation.
This is nothing new considering what happened back in Game 2 in Chicago, with Nikola Mirotic picking up an injury after clashing with OJ Mayo, but that only proceeded the chippiness between him and Zaza Pachulia which landed the latter a second technical foul and saw him ejected from the game.
With a half to go in Game 4, there is no way of knowing if someone will be thrown from this game too, but what is certain is that this rivalry is certainly building.
The Bucks will hope to continue to improve in the years to come with such a young core of players, and that could in turn lead to more playoff battles with the Bulls who aren’t exactly geographically far away either which adds further spice to the rivalry.
A significant following from Chicago made both Games 3 and 4, and from a positive angle, that made for a brilliant atmosphere in Milwaukee.
