Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry produced a sensational performance on Thursday night to guide his team to a win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Warriors stormed back in the fourth quarter with Curry leading the charge with 40 points which included a 3-pointer in the final seconds of regulation to complete a 20-point comeback in the final 12 minutes.
Curry hit seven 3s in total while Klay Thompson added 28 points as the No.1 seed in the Western Conference now move to within a game of sweeping the series and advancing to the semi-finals.
Over in the East, there was an equally as impressive performance from Derrick Rose as the Chicago Bulls star led his team to a 3-0 series lead over the Milwaukee Bucks with 34 points in Game 3.
The Bulls were forced to go into double overtime in a real battle between these two rivals, but Rose combined with Jimmy Butler to secure the win and leave Chicago needing just one more win which could come as early as Saturday in Game 4.
Elsewhere, the Cleveland Cavaliers are similarly in a dominant position as they overcame the Boston Celtics on the road thanks to LeBron James leading the way with 31 points.
It was certainly a night for individual star quality in the NBA as three of the biggest names in the league put on a show for their fans, and they are all expected to now progress where the Bulls and Cavs are set to clash in the Eastern Conference semi-finals in the coming weeks.
NBA Results:
Cleveland Cavaliers 103-95 Boston Celtics
