The Rockets find themselves in a 2-0 hole after losing both games on the road to start the Western Conference Finals, and so they can ill-afford to lose another which would push them to the brink of elimination.
However, it didn’t start well in the first quarter as the visitors took the lead heading into the second period, although the play of the first 12 minutes certainly went to Howard for this effort.
Despite suffering from a knee injury, the former Los Angeles Lakers star put up a double-double in the last encounter and remains a key part of the Rockets keeping their playoff hopes alive.
Along with guard James Harden, Houston will need their star pair to produce big performances in order to keep this series alive with either the Atlanta Hawks or Cleveland Cavaliers ahead in the NBA Finals.
