The Los Angeles Clippers picked up a crucial win in Game 4 on the road at the San Antonio Spurs to tie up their opening round playoff series.
Chris Paul led his team to victory with 34 points, three rebounds and seven assists, but he was certainly helped by Blake Griffin who added 20 points, 19 rebounds and seven assists as the pair teamed up to deliver blow after blow to the Spurs as they threatened to fight back.
It was an all-round impressive performance from the Clippers who bounced back brilliantly from their disappointing display last time out, and it undoubtedly makes the series even more interesting as the momentum continues to switch between the two teams.
Kawhi Leonard had 26 points while Tim Duncan had 22 points and 14 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough for the hosts to take a commanding lead in the series as they now travel to the Staples Center for Game 5 looking to take back the initiative.
Austin Rivers and Jamal Crawford played key roles off the bench for the visitors, scoring 16 and 15 points respectively, and it certainly gave Doc Rivers a boost as his second unit finally ensured that they didn’t lose out as the starters rested.
Game 5 will be played on Tuesday, and at this point there is no way of telling who will prevail.
