The Washington Wizards secured a comfortable 117-106 win over the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night to take a 2-0 lead in their opening round playoff series.

John Wall led the way for the visitors with 26 points and 17 assists while guard Bradley Beal added 28 points of his own as the Wizards responded to every run by the Raptors with one of their own.
The Raptors dominated the Wizards during the regular season but the playoffs have proven to be a completely different proposition as Dwane Casey’s men will now need to dig themselves out of a huge hole over the next two games on the road.
Marcin Gortat and Otto Porter Jr were also critical as the Wizards dominated on the boards to silence the home crowd, with the Raptors losing point guard Kyle Lowry in the fourth quarter to injury as their woes continue.
DeMar DeRozan had 20 points while Sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams added 20 off the bench for the hosts, but it wasn’t enough to tie the series as the Raptors now have it all to do in the coming week.
Washington have seemingly have found the secret to success on the road in the playoffs, and after a disappointing finish to the regular season, it appears as though they are now rediscovering their edge at just the right time.
Game 3 will be played on Friday night in Washington.
