Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez continued his strong form on Monday night with a 32-point performance against his brother Robin, and the Portland Trail Blazers.
Lopez finished the game with 32 points and nine rebounds, as the Nets took down the Blazers 106-96 in the only game in the NBA on Monday.
It was another strong performance from the newly crowned Eastern Conference player of the week, and it has been more consistent as he continues to steer clear of injuries.
Given that there was speculation ahead of the trade deadline that the Nets were looking to deal their towering center, Lopez has certainly turned things around at the Barclays Center and figures to play a significant role in the playoffs.
However, the Trail Blazers were severely short-handed for this encounter with LaMarcus Aldridge and others left home for a game that was rescheduled after weather postponed the initial meeting back in January.
Deron Williams added 24 points and 10 assists for the hosts, as the Nets strengthened their spot in seventh place in the Eastern Conference.
Damian Lillard scored 36 points while Meyers Leonard had 17 points and 15 rebounds, but he was the victim of a monster dunk from Thaddeus Young which was judged to be the play of the night in the NBA on Monday.
