Jack pushes Nets over the line against Warriors…
Miami Heat star Goran Dragic faced off against his former team on Monday night and was able to help secure a win over the Phoenix Suns.
It was a feisty affair at the AA Arena with two third-quarter altercations, three ejections, six player technicals and possibly more disciplinary action from the NBA to follow.
However, Tyler Johnson had a career-high 26 points off the bench for the hosts while Dragic added 21 with his former teammates making a point of roughing him up.
Hassan Whiteside finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds while Dwyane Wade put up 16 points and nine assists in an impressive overall performance from the Heat.
The Suns got good production from various players but with Markieff Morris and Alex Len tossed early, they were fighting a losing battle.
Elsewhere, the Brooklyn Nets stunned the Golden State Warriors with Jarrett Jack drilling a jumper with 1.1 seconds left to win the game.
Stephen Curry had 26 points and seven assists, but Brook Lopez and Deron Williams played key roles in the win for the Nets with the big man putting up 26 points himself.
After a gruelling road trip, the Warriors will be looking forward to getting home and regrouping in order to get back to their high level of play which has taken them to 46-12 for the season.
Meanwhile, there were also wins for the Toronto Raptors and Los Angeles Clippers against the Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves respectively.
DeMar DeRozan put up a season-high 35 points for the Raptors while Chris Paul led the way for the Clips with 26 points and 14 assists.
However, the New Orleans Pelicans suffered a setback in their bid to leapfrog OKC for the eighth playoff spot in the West as they lost to the Dallas Mavericks.
