The San Antonio Spurs destroyed the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night, defeating their Western Conference rivals by 39 points.
Tony Parker led the charge with 21 points and six assists as San Antonio snapped OKC’s four-game winning streak to improve to 44-26 for the season as they have now won 11 of their last 13 games.
Boris Diaw added 19 points, Tim Duncan had 16 and Kawhi Leonard finished the game with 14 points in the Spurs’ highest-scoring game of the season.
Coach Gregg Popovich was naturally delighted with the performance, but he insisted that his players need to be more consistent ahead of the playoffs.
Russell Westbrook was held to just 16 points on 5-for-16 shooting.
The Cleveland Cavaliers also picked up an impressive win on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies, with Kevin Love putting up 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Kyrie Irving added 24 points while LeBron James had 20 as the Cavs held on to a big lead through the second half to inflict the biggest home loss of the season on the Grizzlies.
Elsewhere, the Houston Rockets were handed a boost with the return of Dwight Howard as he returned to action for the first time since January 23.
After playing just 17 minutes, Howard had four points, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked an Anthony Davis shot as the Rockets claimed a narrow win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Over in the East, the Chicago Bulls picked up a significant win over the Toronto Raptors as they take control of the third spot in the Eastern Conference.
Jimmy Butler scored 23 points while Pau Gasol added 18 as the Bulls moved a game-and-a-half ahead of the Raptors for third.
One thing NBA fans don’t want to miss is the dunk show that Los Angeles Clippers star DeAndre Jordan put on at MSG against the New York Knicks.
Jordan had several highlight slams, including the pick of the bunch when he put Jason Smith on a poster.
