Minnesota Timberwolves’ Zach LaVine starred in the NBA Dunk Contest in New York on Saturday night and walked away the new winner of the event.

LaVine scored a perfect 100 in the first round to out-do Victor Oladipo of the Orlando Magic as well as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Mason Plumlee.
The Greek Freak and Plumlee struggled to really get the crowd going and the judges excited, and ultimately it came down to Oladipo and LaVine to steal the show.
While the Magic star’s follow up efforts were certainly impressive, there was only one winner on Saturday and that was the Timberwolves rookie who lived up to expectations.
The 19-year-old caught the eye of many with his dunks in college, practice and in the NBA, and he certainly stepped up and delivered in New York with the three dunks seen above which included his first attempt which certainly gave an indication of what was to come…
