Match-up rivals headline news as Wiggins looks forward to James’ arrival.
The NBA Summer League gained significant attention on Friday as rookies Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker, the No.1 and No.2 overall draft picks respectively, faced off.
Wiggins finished the game with 18 points on just 7-of-18 shooting, but fans were left impressed after his first display and the Cleveland Cavaliers will undoubtedly be delighted with the promise that he has shown thus far.
Meanwhile, Parker ended with 17 points on 5-of-11 shooting to go with nine rebounds in just under 30 minutes of play, with many suggesting that his game is more NBA-ready and he immediately looks a real threat moving forward.
Nevertheless, with the ‘Greek Freak’ Giannis Antetokounmpo also featuring, there was no shortage of exciting and athletic play from both sides as it added to the excitement surrounding the return of LeBron James.
While initial reports of Wiggins being involved in a trade deal to obtain Kevin Love have been dismissed, the Cavs will be thrilled by the look of their possible roster for next season with Anthony Bennett also receiving praise from coach David Blatt as he looks to justify being the No.1 overall pick in the 2013 draft.
