Hunter and his son. RJ, have stolen the hearts of all at March Madness this year, as it all started with those memorable scenes earlier this week when the Georgia State coach fell off his stool celebrating a buzzer-beating shot.
Given that he has already suffered an Achilles injury it probably wasn’t the best thing for him, but then the pair also featured in a hilarious interview with the March Madness crew which further endeared them to the public.
However, Georgia State lost to Xavier on Saturday night to see their tournament end for the year, but there was still time for an emotional press conference in which Hunter Sr broke down in front of the media.
While he also described it as the “best time of my life” at the NCAA Tournament 2015, he added that he couldn’t be prouder of his son which sent him over the edge and into a tearful mess before calling for questions.
Hunter has been a great story this year and he will certainly be missed with his team now set to go home…
