Kentucky stayed true to their successful philosophy as their offense remained balanced with five players scoring in double digits as forward Trey Lyles scored 14 points with seven rebounds.
Forward Willie Cauley-Stein added eight points with 10 rebounds while blocking three shots, continuing to showcase himself as a future NBA big man.
The Mountaineers put together one of the worst performances in NCAA Tournament history as they were held to 24.1 percent shooting as a team. Guard Juwan Staten put together the only somewhat respectable performance with 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting.
To put this blowout into proper perspective, Kentucky twins Aaron and Andrew Harrison combined for 25 points while West Virginia’s whole team could only score 39.
