The Spartans were in the lead for most of the second half, but the Cardinals received a big opportunity to win it after Michigan State forward Marvin Clark Jr. missed two free throws.
Cardinals forward Mangok Mathiang was fouled with just under four seconds remaining when Louisville trailed by one point.
He made his first free throw, but it came with an extremely lucky bounce that made Johnson react strongly in frustration.
Luckily for the Spartans, Mathiang missed his next free throw, which forced the game into overtime. The Spartans ultimately went on to win the game and reach the Final Four.
