Jazz remain in the play-off fight with win on Friday night.
The Utah Jazz aren’t ready to let the Los Angeles Lakers snatch eighth spot in the Western Conference, as they saw off the New Orleans Hornets 95-83 on Friday night.
Paul Millsap had 20 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists while Gordon Hayward scored a team-high 23 points as the Jazz battled to seal the win over the Hornets.
The Lakers have lost one less game than Utah so far this season and currently hold on to the final play-off berth in the West. However, with five games to go in the regular season, there is undoubtedly plenty more twists and turns on the way.
The Hornets were led by a game-high 24 points from Anthony Davis, who also had 12 rebounds, while Greivis Vasquez had 21 points.
They head to Phoenix to take on the Suns on Sunday night, while the Jazz face the Golden State Warriors on the same night looking to put together a winning run.
