Virat Kohli will skipper Royal Challengers Bangalore for the first time during this year’s IPL in his sixth season at the franchise.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have opted for youth for the 2013 IPL campaign by appointing 24-year-old Virat Kohli as captain.
The Indian batsman says he believes in his ability and is looking forward to leading experienced players such as AB de Villiers and Muttiah Muralitharan.
Yet despite all the old heads in the RCB side Kohli says that his biggest strength on the cricket pitch is his mum and he thinks the franchise has a homely feel.
Kohli will lead his team out for their first match of IPL 2013 against Mumbai Indians on April 4.
