Knicks beat the Thunder to extend winning streak to 12 games.
With Carmelo Anthony at the forefront of their scoring, the New York Knicks sealed an impressive 125-120 win on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.
Anthony ended the game with 36 points and 12 rebounds, while team-mate J.R. Smith had 22 points off the bench, including a late three-pointer which all-but sealed the win.
The Knicks stretched their winning streak to 12 games as a result, and are looking good at just the right time with the regular season drawing to a close and the play-offs on the horizon.
Russell Westbrook led OKC with 37 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists while Kevin Durant chipped in with 27 points of his own. However, it wasn’t enough as the Thunder’s slip sees the San Antonio Spurs out in front in the West.
Anthony, averaging 28.4 points per game, now leads the NBA scoring having overtaken Durant (28.35), while the Knicks bench outscored their counterparts 55-30 to help seal the win.
