Knicks seal 106-94 win at the Garden on Wednesday night.
Carmelo Anthony returned to the New York Knicks line-up on Wednesday night, as they sealed a comfortable 106-94 win over the Orlando Magic.
Having missed three games due to a knee complaint, Anthony’s return was a huge boost to Mike Woodson’s team as they look to get their season back on track.
‘Melo went for 21 points and eight rebounds on his return as the Knicks secured back-to-back wins, while J.R. Smith was instrumental as ever off the bench, contributing 22 points.
However, the night was soured slightly by another injury, with Iman Shumpert going down after tweaking his surgically repaired knee and did not return in the second half.
Coach Woodson said it was more a precaution than a worry, and will await tests on Thursday to determine how serious the injury might be. Tyson Chandler remains out for the forthcoming games but will be another boost ahead of the play-offs.
