Knicks seal a 90-83 win despite still missing key players through injury.
The New York Knicks ended a four-game losing streak on Monday night, and it came without their leading scorer, top rebounder and best defensive player.
Both Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler were absent in Salt Lake City as the Knicks brought their five-game road trip to an end with a much needed win, which helped to restore some confidence in coach Mike Woodson’s men.
J.R. Smith had 20 points off the bench while Raymond Felton contributed 19 points as the Knicks defense stood up in the second half to make life extremely difficult for the Jazz.
The Knicks will hope for their leading men to return as soon as possible but on Monday they showed that they have the resilience to deal with adversity and will be hoping to make it back-to-back wins when they take on the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.
