Veteran hits three consecutive 3s in third quarter after receiving advice from old coach.
Ahead of the New York Knicks facing the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, commentator Jeff Van Gundy noticed something interesting.
In the pre-game warm-up, Clippers shooting coach Bob Thate was seen giving some advice to Knicks veteran Jason Kidd as they rolled back the years to their time together with the Nets.
Unfortunately for the Clippers and their coach Vinny Del Negro, Kidd went on to hit three consecutive three-points later in the game, although it was ultimately made redundant as the Knicks fell to a 93-80 loss.
However, it didn’t stop Blake Griffin from having a joke around with the 39-year-old and Thate, as he was clearly confused as to why his shooting coach was helping the opposition.
