The Kiwi took the game to the Indians with an astonishing knock.
Brendon McCullum became the first New Zealand cricketer in history to score a triple century after hitting 302 against India in the second Test.
The 32-year-old shared a Test record sixth wicket stand with BJ Watling of 352 as the Kiwis declared on 680-8 – also a record for a third innings score.
In the end the match was drawn and McCullum’s side won the series 1-0 against the Indians, who have now not won away since 2011.
