After the ball was hit for six by Michael Bracewell, Andrew McCulloch ran to try and catch it with no shoes on, before slipping at the crucial moment, but still managing to recover to pluck the ball out of the air inches above the ground.
For his trouble McCulloch won NZ $5,000 (£2,446) and in a bizarre coincidence his partner is the sister of Bracewell – the batsman who hit the shot.
