44 minutes into the match, Janmaat and Montero appeared to ram each other in the face as they were both suddenly in extreme pain, and their coaches had to rush to the field to check on them.
Janmaat was seen checking his mouth, which indicated that he had lost a tooth.
Newcastle United held a 1-0 lead at the time, and they appeared to be headed to halftime with their lead.
However, Swansea City had other plans as they took advantage of their extra stoppage time, which went beyond the intended two minutes.
After the 47-minute mark, Swansea City midfielder Nelson Oliveira fielded a corner kick perfectly and drove it into the net for a goal right before the halftime whistle sounded.
Swansea City has since taken a 2-1 lead at the beginning of the second half.
