Dutchman continues impressive pre-season form with superb goal.
AC Milan midfielder Nigel De Jong scored a brilliant goal during the Rossoneri’s clash with Valencia in the International Champions Cup.
The Serie A giants were a goal up after Robinho had given them the lead, with the Brazilian making amends after missing a penalty just minutes earlier.
However, it was De Jong’s curling effort which will steal the headlines as the Dutchman continues his impressive form in pre-season.
Having fully recovered from a ruptured Achilles injury he suffered last season, the former Manchester City star will be hoping to work his way back into Massimiliano Allegri’s first-team in the new campaign.
After being crowned the player of the tournament in the Trofeo TIM earlier this week, he has continued to shine ahead of the new season with this superbly taken goal, and was just inches away from doubling his tally with a free-kick just minutes later.
Milan’s trip to the Mestalla is the first game of the tournament, which will see the likes of Inter, Los Angeles Galaxy and Chelsea take part when the competition switches to the USA.
