The ex-skipper is concerned that Australia are relying too heavily on older players.
After the announcement of Australia’s 16-man Ashes squad to tour England this summer, former Test captain Mark Taylor has voiced his concerns over the lack of youth in the side.
Veterans Brad Haddin and Chris Rogers were both recalled to the five-day team but with both men aged 35 it is hardly a nod to the future.
Whilst Taylor supports the inclusion of Haddin and Rogers he has said that he is worried that there is no real promising young talent coming through the ranks in Australian cricket.
