Thunder dismantle Lakers at home with one of the most dominant first half performances in recent history.
The Lakers were on a roll, and led by Kobe Bryant, they had got back to .500 for the first time since January, and were looking good to grab a late playoff seed.
It seemed they were playing with extra motivation after the death of their owner, Jerry Buss. The team was playing well as a unit, and starting to look like the team they were made up to be in pre-season.
However, it all came crashing down Tuesday night when the visited Oklahoma City. In one half of play the Lakers went from red-hot to ice-cold.
Led by point guard Russell Westbrook, the Thunder put up a huge 71 points in the first half, and coasted to a win over the Lakers, who got a real reality check that they still have a long way to go in their quest for a playoff run.
Oklahoma City on the other hand had sent a huge message to San Antonio that they will fight for that number one seed in the Western Conference to the final game, and what a fight that will become.
