Rockets survive and finally find a way to beat the Thunder.
With their post season presence on the line, the Houston Rockets survived another Kevin Durant onslaught to seal a 105-103 win and ensure a Game 5.
They now trail 3-1 in the series, but will be relieved to have finally put a win on the board, as they go in search of extending the series further when they head to Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
Chandler Parsons scored 27 points to go with 10 rebounds and eight assists, while Omer Asik enjoyed a big night as he went for a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
The win arrived despite a disappointing night for star James Harden, who went 4-for-12 from the field and had a career-high 10 turnovers.
However, despite another dominant display from Durant in the absence of Russell Westbrook, it wasn’t enough to wrap up this opening round series for the Thunder.
The 24-year-old finished with 38 points on 12-for-16 shooting, eight rebounds and six assists, but will now have to go again in Game 5 as they have another shot at closing out the series.
