Durant and Westbrook lead the Thunder past Milwaukee.
The Oklahoma City Thunder left Milwaukee with a 109-99 win over the Bucks on Saturday, with big contributions from Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.
Durant scored nine of his 30 points in the final nine minutes of the game as they overcame a fiery Bucks team hoping to cause an upset.
However, with Westbrook adding a triple-double of 23 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, the Thunder were able to move their record to 54-20 for the season.
Serge Ibaka had 16 points and eight blocked shots, while Ersan Ilyasova had 29 points and 14 rebounds for the Bucks, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the reigning Western Conference champions.
Oklahoma City now have an extended break ahead of their next game, which will see them go head-to-head against rivals the San Antonio Spurs.
Meanwhile, the Bucks are back in action on Monday when they host the Charlotte Bobcats looking to bounce back from this defeat.
