Jazz fall back out of the play-off picture following OKC defeat.
The Utah Jazz fell to 41-38 for the season following their 90-80 defeat to the Oklahoma CIty Thunder on Tuesday night, surrendering eighth spot to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference.
With the Lakers securing a valuable win over the New Orleans Hornets at the Staples Center, the two teams switch places for the time being, but Utah will be fully aware of how difficult a test this was to pass.
The Thunder were led by Russell Westbrook (25) and Kevin Durant (21), and now have as many wins as the San Antonio Spurs at the top of the West.
For the Jazz, Mo Williams had a team-high 19 points, while Gordon Hayward added 17 to the losing cause.
Oklahoma City are back in action on Wednesday night when they take on the Golden State Warriors, while the Jazz resume their play-off push on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
