Arsenal news
Three goals in eight first half minutes from Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez put Arsenal on course for a comfortable romp home over the visiting Champions League hopefuls, who now sit five points away from fourth placed Manchester United having played a game more.
Arsene Wenger, along with Gunners fans, will be delighted with the way Giroud has reacted to the disappointment of Champions League elimination at the hands of Monaco.
As damaging as the victory is for Liverpool’s ambitions, it is equally important for Arsenal as they are lifted up to second in the table, four points away from league leaders Chelsea having played two games more, but importantly hosting the table toppers in three weeks time.
