Injury-hit Bulls hold on for win against the Magic.
Despite the absence of Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, Marco Belinelli, Rip Hamilton and Taj Gibson, the Chicago Bulls were able to seal a 87-86 win over the Orlando Magic on Friday night.
It didn’t pass without a few scares though, as the Bulls went point-less for the last four minutes with the Magic fighting back to within one before the end of the game.
Nate Robinson and Luol Deng both had 19 points, with the former dropping in 12 in the fourth quarter to help steer his team to the win.
As for the Magic, Beno Udirh had a career-high 27 points, but it wasn’t enough to avoid a 12th loss in their last 13 games.
Considering how close they were run by a struggling team in the NBA, Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau will be desperate to get some of his troops back out on the court, with Noah and Belinelli “close” to a return.
They head to Detroit to take on the Pistons on Sunday, while the Magic face the Cleveland Cavaliers on the road.
