Paralympian is currently facing charge that he murdered his girlfriend.
An associate of Oscar Pistorius has claimed that he now has “a bit more confidence” in whether or not the South Africa murder suspect will be granted bail or not in the coming days in Pretoria.
“After yesterday, yes, I definitely have a bit more confidence,” Jaco Van Vuuren, a close personal friend of Oscar Pistorius, said.
“First of all I think his attorneys did really well. All of us in the media didn’t see that coming. I think Oscar was slightly more relaxed. I saw him, you know, sketching him everyday, he was a little bit more relaxed, especially in the afternoon session. So hopefully all goes well, but we have to remind ourselves this is only a bail application, nothing serious. So it’s still early days.”
“For us, from the athletic track and from University of Pretoria’s track club its sad, the mood is very down. He’s our biggest hero in the club and also in South Africa. You know, now he’s in jail. So its something, it takes…. it generates a lot of emotion.”
