American skiing legend Bode Miller has severed a hamstring tendon during a huge wipeout in the World Championship Super-G event in Colorado.
It was Miller’s first race in 11 months after undergoing back surgery, and it didn’t quite go to plan for the 37-year-old.
Miller tweeted on Friday to confirm that surgery to repair the tendon has been successful:
Out of a successful surgery for a severed hamstring tendon. Feeling lucky since things could have been way worse. pic.twitter.com/1jKhhDSRR9
