Two of world football’s most recognisable faces go out and about in the French capital.
For those who doubted whether former England captain David Beckham would be a success in Paris, then this event would most definitely have changed their minds.
Paris has well and truly got Beckham fever!
An excitable crowd gathered to hear Beckham answer a few questions, including one about his prospects of playing in another World Cup!
Beckham was also keen to sing the praises of French legend Zinedine Zidane, who he played alongside at Real Madrid with distinction.
Zidane is for me the best player I ever played with, the best player I ever seen, a gentleman, and for him to welcome me here, to Paris, to France is very special. So for me, he is the best man and the best player.”
And as if one world superstar wasn’t enough for Paris, 1998 world cup winner Zidane joined Beckham to meet some very lucky
competition winners.
Zidane and Beckham have over 200 international caps between them, and both captained their respective nations in World Cups.
It’s unlikely that Beckham will ever be as popular in France as Zidane, but Beckham is certainly a hit in the French capital, as these fans would testify!
