North-East giants hit for six by Villa.
Sunderland head coach Paulo Di Canio slammed his players after they were thrashed 6-1 by fellow relegation strugglers Aston Villa at Villa Park on Monday night.
The heavy defeat in the Midlands left the Black Cats still five points clear of the drop zone with now only three games left to play this season, while the visitors’ goal difference also took a hit.
The Italian, however, feels that if his side can register just one more top-flight win in their remaining games this season, then that should be enough to guarantee their Premier League status this campaign.
