Arsenal v Chelsea team confirmed: no striker for Blues as Diego Costa injured & Drogba benched, Mertesacker fit for Gunners as Giroud returns to first XI
Cesc Fabregas played a wonderful ball over the top and the Brazilian timed his run perfectly to beat the Gunners offside trap before chipping the ball over the onrushing keeper David Ospina.
The shot was goal bound and looked destined to open the scoring, but right-back Hector Bellerin rescued it at the last moment and headed it out for a corner.
However, there looked to be no attempt to play the ball from keeper Ospina, who completely clattered Oscar the the ground inside the box.
Should this have been penalty?
