Clippers finally reach the 50-win mark in the West.
The Los Angeles Clippers sealed a 126-101 win over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, ending a three-game losing streak and also taking them to a franchise-record 50-win mark for the season.
DeAndre Jordan led the scoring with a team-high 20 points and 12 rebounds, while the Clippers finished the game with six players in double figures.
Erick Bledsoe (17), Chris Paul, Caron Butler and Willie Green (15) and Jamal Crawford (13) all helped to ensure that the Clippers finally reached the 50 wins post in their pursuit of the Denver Nuggets for the third seed in the Western Conference.
Wesley Johnson scored 20 for the Suns, while Jermaine O’Neal added 18 points and eight rebounds off the bench, but it wasn’t enough to deny the Clippers.
The Clippers take on their LA rivals the Lakers on Sunday in what is sure to be a fiery encounter given what’s at stake for both ball clubs, while the Suns host the Golden State Warriors on Friday.
