The Pittsburgh Penguins are currently tied for fifth in the Eastern Conference of the NHL with 81 points, and they have recalled defenceman Derrick Pouliot from the AHL.

Pouliot was drafted eighth overall by the Penguins in 2012, and he scored the second goal of his NHL career in the Penguins’ 5-3 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
This goal came on a power play, and he shot a laser to the top shelf of the goal to give the Penguins a 4-1 lead.
He made a strong case to be on the Penguins’ playoff roster when the time rolls around.
