UEFA president Michel Platini has been speaking on a wide range of subjects at the latest Executive Committee meeting of European football’s governing body in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.
On the agenda was everything from how to tackle the ever growing problem of racism in the game – especially in light of recent events involving England supporters in San Marino – to how plans for the new expanded European championship in 2016 are coming along and the possibility of Russia combining its national league with that of neighbouring Ukraine.
