Curry heats up and drops 39 points in win for Warriors.
Golden State Warriors benefited from an inspired performance from Stephen Curry as they sealed a 125-98 win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
Curry ended the game with 39 points, finishing 14-for-22 from the field with seven three-pointers added to the mix.
His latest tally is ranked second in his season’s best, having previously dropped in a career-high 54 points against the New York Knicks last month.
As a result, the 24 year-old has is making plenty of new fans as he continues to stake a claim to be one of the best shooters in the game.
The Warriors sealed the win with the help of 25 points off the bench from Carl Landry, while Meyers Leonard scored 22 points for the Blazers but it wasn’t enough in a blow-out win for the home team.
Portland take on the Utah Jazz on Monday, while Curry will hope to lead Golden State past the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday.
